1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the boundaries of fair and permitted use of RouteAnything. It supplements our Terms of Service and exists to ensure a reliable, performant service for all customers.
2. What "Unlimited assignments" means
Pro and Enterprise plans include unlimited assignments. This means there is no hard monthly cap on the number of CRM records routed through your rotations. However, "unlimited" refers to normal, sustained business use — not unlimited server resources.
In practice, the vast majority of customers will never encounter any restriction. This policy exists to prevent edge cases that could degrade the service for others.
3. Fair use guidelines
Normal use includes:
- Routing records as they are created or updated in HubSpot via workflows
- Running multiple rotations across different object types
- Processing occasional bulk imports (e.g., migrating existing records)
- Using all available routing strategies (round robin, weighted, least loaded)
Use that may trigger a review:
- Sustained automated traffic exceeding 10,000 assignments per hour over multiple hours
- Scripted or programmatic calls outside of HubSpot workflows (e.g., custom scripts hitting our webhook endpoint directly)
- Patterns consistent with load testing, stress testing, or benchmarking against our infrastructure
- Using RouteAnything as a general-purpose API proxy or data pipeline rather than for its intended CRM routing purpose
4. Rate limits
To protect service stability, the following rate limits apply to all plans:
| Endpoint type |
Limit |
Scope |
| Authentication (login, OAuth) |
5 requests / minute |
Per IP address |
| Application API |
30 requests / minute |
Per user |
| HubSpot webhooks (assignments) |
100 requests / minute |
Per HubSpot portal |
These limits are generous for normal usage. If your legitimate use case requires higher limits, contact us and we will work with you on a custom arrangement.
5. Prohibited uses
You may not use RouteAnything to:
- Circumvent rate limits by rotating IP addresses, creating multiple accounts, or other evasion techniques
- Disrupt the Service through denial-of-service attacks, flooding, or deliberate overloading
- Scrape or extract data from the Service for purposes other than your own CRM operations
- Resell or redistribute access to the Service without written authorization
- Process illegal content or use the Service in violation of applicable laws
- Impersonate other users or organizations
- Interfere with other customers' use of the Service
6. What happens if you exceed fair use
Our approach is collaborative, not punitive:
- Notification: We will contact you to discuss your usage patterns and understand your needs
- Grace period: You will have at least 7 days to adjust your usage or discuss an Enterprise arrangement
- Throttling: If no resolution is reached, we may temporarily throttle assignment processing to protect service stability
- Suspension: In extreme cases of deliberate abuse, we reserve the right to suspend access as described in the Terms of Service
We will never delete your data or configurations as a result of a fair use review. Your rotations and settings remain intact.
7. Monitoring
We monitor aggregate usage metrics (assignment counts, API call volumes) to detect patterns that may affect service stability. We do not inspect the content of your CRM records as part of this monitoring.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes (e.g., lowering rate limits) will be notified at least 30 days in advance. The current version is always available at this URL.
